Pursuit is my way of talking about some personal topics in a metaphorical story form. The album depicts a man who gives up climbing a mountain halfway up only to watch it erupt when he reaches safety. It's about success and failure, as well as silver linings to these failures that we may or may not see as people. About 5 months of work went into putting this record together, and over the course of a very rough semester in my personal life I made it a goal to see it completed. There were times where I couldn't come up with new material for weeks and other times when I couldn't leave the studio until the song was complete. I do sincerely apologize for the vocals on the album but I have no one but myself to record and I already know I'm not much of a singer. Maybe one day I'll get to doing this one again but properly, but until then this is my best effort at making Pursuit a reality.
